I just received the following through email. Does anyone know if this is accurate?
"Save The Coach - Bob Huggins
SAVE THE COACH RALLY APRIL 4th!!!
A rally today has been informally scheduled to be held at Bramlage Coliseum in honor to fight and keep Head Basketball Coach Bob Huggins.
Coach Huggins has been approached by this alma mater, the University of West Virginia, and offered the head coaching position. Coach Huggins has been reported to be very torn at the moment between his loyalty to K-State and his love for his alma mater.
Huggins was born in Morgantown, WV, played for them and graduated magna cum laude. His father was a legendary high school coach in the state as well. Him and his family have been in Cincinnati the past weekend and are heading back to Manhattan to arrive there sometime between 6pm-8pm tonite, April 4th.
A source close to the program said an informal rally of students, Manhattan citizens, and K-State fans from afar will meet at Bramlage at 5:30 with the
K-State band and other athletic department officials to show "Huggy" the love he deserves. It is said that the goal is to get between 5000-10,000 fans there.
Some fans have even pledged to drive from as far as 2 hours away for the event. We need as many K-Staters as possible to spread the word via the Internet, text message, phone calls, and fliers to get the word out to Save The Coach. This thing is on the brink and could go either way. This would be a devastating blow to K-State basketball if we lost Coach Huggins. Most likely all the high ranking recruits would ask for their release and go to other schools if he left.
Please forward on to as many K-Staters as you can.
